Darbhanga, Bihar: BJP MLA Dr. Murari Mohan Jha met Bihar’s Industry Minister Shahnawaz Hussain and urged him to revive the closed Raiyam sugar mill from his constituency. He had a detailed discussion with Minister regarding the sugar mill, which is closed from so many years.
The revival of the sugar mill will create thousands of jobs and boost the income of farmers, he said. The minister has assured that the government will soon take steps to revive the sugar mill.
Once famous for sugar production the mill has stopped operations since 1995 owing to the dysfunctional age-old machinery. This affected not only the employees working in the sugar mill but also the farmers growing sugarcane in the region. The discussion on the revival of the mill has brought hope among the cane growers.
