With an aim to boost the sugar industry in the country, Indonesia government has invited Brazil to invest in the sector.
Indonesian Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman and his Brazilian counterpart, Tereza Cristina discussed the possibility of investment in the sugar sector.
Sulaiman stated Brazil, being the world’s largest sugar producer, could invest and transmit its technology.
Agriculture Minister said, “We talked about sugar plants. Brazil’s Agriculture Minister said she would be open to sharing experiences in sugar processing and ready to help Indonesia. Brazil is eager to transfer their knowledge and skills to Indonesia.”
