Rahra, Jyotiba Phule Nagar: Farmers under the banner of Bhartiya Kisan Union have demanded that the sugar mills should start cane crushing till October end and not delay the operations.
On Sunday, District President Chaudhary Rampal Singh said that all sugar mills in the area should be started by the end of October. The sugar mills should clear pending cane dues before starting cane crushing. Also, sugarcane farmers should be allowed to sell their cane to other sugar mills.
