Medium Sugar Declines On Subdued Demand

Mumbai, Mar 13 Medium sugar declined further at the Vashi wholesale market following subdued demand from stockists and bulk consumers amid ample stock positions.

While, small sugar ended mixed on alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Medium sugar (M-30) prices moved down by Rs 6/8 per quintal to Rs 3,186/3,402 from Monday’s closing level of Rs 3,192/3,410.

Small sugar (S-30) was quoted at Rs 3,120/3,225 as against Rs 3,140/3,222 yesterday.

Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,120/3,225 (Rs 3,140/3,222).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,186/3,402 (Rs 3,192/3,410).
