London: The 32nd International Sugar Seminar organised by the International Sugar Organization has kick started in London with Opening Remarks from Jose Orive, Executive Director, ISO and Pedro Roberio de Melo Nogueira, President, SINDACUCAR Alagoas, Brazil.
The session was inaugurated by Brazil, who are the pioneer in sustainable agriculture. Arnaldo Jardim, Vice President, Parliament Front of Agriculture, Brazil, said that it is important to look at green fuel for sustainability. He mentioned that there should be attention given to green diesel towards our commitment for green future.
The President of Datagro, Dr. Plinio Nastari, said that Brazil is defining the criteria and standard of sustainability. This will set the standard of sustainability in mobility, which will help us achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Pedro Roberio de Melo Nogueira, President, SINDACUCAR Alagoas, said that sustainability is necessary universally. Sugar industry is a catalyst of social economic development and sustainability in the world. Our collective effort is to produce sustainable agriculture demonstrates our commitment in protecting the future for future generation. India and Thailand are moving towards ethanol which is a great stride.
The two-day conference has a packed line-up of speakers and experts who will drive the dialogue on sustainability and set the tone of sugar industry for the future.
