Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh: Sugar mills in Uttar Pradesh are all set to start new sugarcane crushing season, but cane arrears have not been completely paid yet. Muzaffarnagar authorities have asked the sugar mills to clear the pending cane arrears before commencing the new season.
According to the PTI news report, DM Selvakumari J recently reviewed sugar mills work ahead of the new season and issued orders to them to clear the dues.
As per reports, sugar mills in the district will begin the crushing season from October 24. Bhaisani sugar mill will start operations from October 24, Mansurpur from October 25, Morna from October 27, Khaikhedi and Khatauli sugar from October 28, Tikaula and Titawi from October 29, and Rohana from October 30.
