Mumbai: Equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on October 5, 2020, at 276.65 points high at 38,973.70. Nifty ended 86.40 points high at 11,503.35.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on October 1, 2020, at 629.12 points high at 38,697.05. Nifty ended 169.40 points high at 11,416.95.
TCS, Wipro, Tata Steel, Sun Pharma and Infosys were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Bajaj Finserv, Shree Cements, GAIL, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finance.
