Mumbai: Equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on October 09, 2020, at 326.82 points high at 40,509.49. Nifty ended 79.60 points high at 11,914.20.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on October 8, 2020, at 303.72 points high at 40,182.67. Nifty ended 95.75 points high at 11,834.60.
Wipro, Axis Bank, SBI, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Grasim Industries, UPL, Hindalco, Sun Pharma and SBI Life Insurance.
