Mumbai: Equity benchmark Sensex rallied in opening trade on Monday. At 10:13 am, the 30-share BSE index was trading over 458.18 points higher at 40,441.16, and the broader NSE Nifty roses 112.10 points to 11,874.55.
ONGC was the top gainer in the Sensex pack followed by NTPC, HDFC, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, PowerGrid and Nestle India. On the other hand, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys and Sun Pharma were among the laggards.
Sensex closed on October 16, 2020, at 254.57 points high at 39,982.98. Nifty ended 82.10 points high at 11,762.45.
