Mumbai: Equity benchmark Sensex rallied in early trade on Tuesday. At 10:05 am, the 30-share BSE index was trading 277.62 points higher at 40,035.20. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty jumped 85.15 points to 11,754.30.
ICICI Bank was the top gainer in the Sensex pack followed by SBI, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, Tata Steel and HDFC.
On the other hand, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, Infosys and UltraTech Cement were among the laggards.
