Meerut, Uttar Pradesh: Daurala, Sakoti and Nanglamal sugar mills started sugarcane crushing season on Monday. The sugar mills felicitated the sugarcane farmers that brought the first tractor-trolley loaded with the cane.
Daurala began its 89th crushing season by performing puja at the mill and felicitating farmers. For Sakauti mill, Pandit Govind Sharan Mishra performed puja before starting cane crushing. The mill officials have appealed the sugarcane farmers to not to overload trucks with sugarcane while bringing them to the mill for crushing.
Nanglamal sugar mill’s crushing season was inaugurated by performing puja.
