Maharashtra makes Covid-19 test must for passengers coming from 4 states

Mumbai: The travellers entering into Maharashtra from Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Goa by air and train will have to carry the Covid-19 RT-PCR test reports with them. The tests should be conducted before 3 to 4 days entering into Maharashtra and should be negative. The travellers without a report will be tested on arrival.

According to the media report, the state government is also planning to put restrictions on the movement of people following the threat of a second wave of coronavirus cases after Diwali. It will take a decision on this following the covid-19 situation in the state.

The new operating procedure was issued by Maharashtra chief secretary Sanjay Kumar on Monday and will come into effect from Wednesday.
