Mumbai: Benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed at 431.64 points higher at 44,259.74. Nifty ended 128.60 points high at 12,987.00.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 25th November at 694.92 points lower at 43,828.10. Nifty ended 196.75 points low at 12,858.40.
JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Grasim Industries, Hindalco and Shree Cements were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Eicher Motors, BPCL, Maruti Suzuki, ONGC and HDFC Life.
