Sarsawa, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane farmers launched sit-in agitation outside the sugar mill’ premises after the mill administration rejected their cane citing bad quality. However, the issue was resolved after senior officials mediated and pacified the farmers.
The incident happened after the mill officials rejected the sugarcane loaded trolley of a farmer stating that the cane is of bad quality. This angered the farmers and they started an argument with the officials. After the mill denied accepting the cane, the farmers launched sit-in agitation outside the mill.
