Moscow: Russian government is taking steps to low down the rising sugar and other food items prices in the country. Russian President Vladimir Putin criticised officials and market players over rising prices for sugar and other food items.

According to the report by Reuters news agency, the country is considering to impose grains export quota and wheat export tax following President Vladimir Putin’s criticism of rising food prices.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the government is taking steps to keep a check on the price rise.
