Mumbai: Equity benchmark Sensex dropped in early trade on Tuesday. At 10:17 am, the 30-share BSE index was trading 297.38 points lower at 45,956.08. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty fell 84.75 points to 13,473.40.
Axis Bank was the top loser in the Sensex pack followed by ONGC, M&M, ICICI Bank, Asian Paints, SBI, HUL, L&T, Titan, Infosys and TCS.
On the other hand, NTPC, HDFC Bank, HCL Tech, UltraTech Cement, Maruti and Bajaj Auto were among the gainers.
