Chandigarh: MP Pratap Singh Bajwa has taken up the issue of the pending cane dues related to cooperative and private sugar mills. In a representation to Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, Bajwa has urged him to clear the pending cane dues.
According to the news report published by Tribuneindia.com, Referring to a previous letter of June 2020 and subsequent orders by the CM to the Finance Department to release Rs 150 crore to Sugarfed, Punjab, for cane payments and release of 149 crores from its own sources immediately, Bajwa said the remaining payments had not been made to date.
