Mumbai: The news about new virus strain in the UK and more countries going for minor lockdowns have impacted the Indian market today.
Benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed on 21 December at 1,406.73 points lower at 45,553.96. Nifty ended 432.15 points low at 13,328.40.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 18 December at 70.35 points higher at 46,960.69. Nifty ended 19.85 points high at 13,760.55.
All stocks on the Nifty50 ended lower led by the ONGC, Tata Motors, GAIL, Hindalco and IOC.
