Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed lower today. Sensex closed on 28 January at 535.57 points lower at 46,874.36. Nifty ended 149.95 points low at 13,817.55.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 27 January at 937.66 points lower at 47,409.93. Nifty ended 271.40 points low at 13,967.50.
HUL, Maruti Suzuki, Wipro, HDFC Bank and Power Grid Corp were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were Axis Bank, SBI, Shree Cements, IOC and Hero MotoCorp.
