Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed higher today. Sensex closed on 02 February at 1,197.11 points higher at 49,797.72. Nifty ended 366.65 points high at 14,647.85.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 01 February at 2,314.84 points higher at 48,600.61. Nifty ended 646.60 points high at 14,281.20.
Tata Motors, Shree Cements, UltraTech Cement, SBI and Hindalco were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included HDFC Life, Bajaj Finserv, Hero MotoCorp, Titan Company and HUL.
