Pune: Sugar recovery rate in Kolhapur division has surpassed the mark of 11.50 per cent.
According to the data shared by sugarcane commissionerate, as many as 183 sugar mills from the state have participated in the cane crushing activities and till February 7 these mills have produced 692.98 lakh quintal sugar by crushing 689.28 lakh tonne sugarcane.
In Kolhapur division, 37 sugar mills have participated in cane crushing activities and have performed well by achieving a recovery rate of 11.64 per cent. Maximum sugar mills (41) are operating in the Solapur division as compared with other divisions in the state.
