Amroha: Cooperative sugar mill from Kalakheda had to stop cane crushing operations for more than 12 hours due to technical glitches. However, the mill resumed operations after repair work.
According to the sugarcane farmers they had to face problems as the mill stopped crushing. The mill administration had stopped taking cane from farmers and weighing it. The farmers that had come with their cane loaded in trucks and tractors had to wait without any ultimatum about when the mill would start operations.
According to the CCO of the sugar mill, the operations of the mill was halted due to the technical problem which was resolved soon and the mill continued operations after a brief halt of 12 hours.
