Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed higher today. Sensex closed on 9th March at 584.41 points lower at 51,025.48. Nifty ended 142.20 points high at 15,098.40.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 8th March at 35.75 points lower at 50,441.07. Nifty ended 18.10 points high at 14,956.20.
SBI Life Insurance, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and HDFC were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were BPCL, Tata Steel, GAIL, IOC and Power Grid Corp.
