Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh: On the occasion of Holi, the Indian Potash ltd sugar mill has cleared cane dues worth Rs 1.98 crore of the 680 sugarcane farmers associated with the mill. However, the sugar mill is yet to clear arrears worth Rs 31.95 crore to the cane farmers.
According to the news report published in Amarujala.com, District cane officer Jagdish Chandra Yadav said that the sugar mill owes arrears worth Rs 33.93 crore to the sugarcane farmers. The mill has cleared Rs 1.98 crore of 680 cane farmers and it is yet to clear dues worth Rs 31.95 crore.
He has asked the mill administration to clear the pending cane dues of the farmers on a priority basis.
