Mumbai: Benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on 15th April at 259.62 points higher at 48,803.68. Nifty ended 82.55 points high at 14,587.35.
In the previous season, the BSE S&P Sensex closed 661 points or 1.35 per cent higher at 48,544 while the Nifty 50 edged higher by 194 points or 1.36 per cent to 14,505.
TCS, Cipla, ONGC, Wipro and Adani Ports were among the major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Eicher Motors, Grasim Industries, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki and IndusInd Bank.
