Bulandshahar: Sugarcane farmers under the banner of BKU (Ambawat) have threatened to launch an agitation for their pending cane dues. The delegation of farmers under the leadership of Pawan Tevtiya met the DCO on Wednesday and submitted the memorandum of demands including clearing of pending cane dues.
According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, Tevtiya said, “Sugar mills have purchased cane from farmers but not cleared their dues. Farmers are under financial stress and are not having funds to take up new crops for next season. At some places the sugarcane crop is still standing in the fields and the government should ensure that the mills crush all the cane.”
