Equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty started on a choppy note on Tuesday.
At 10:09 am, the 30-share BSE index was trading 109.58 points lower at 52,218.93 in initial deals. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty fall 48.40 points to 15,703.25.
Tech Mahindra was the top gainer in the Sensex pack followed by Bajaj Finance, Infosys, HCL Tech, NTPC and TCS.
On the other hand, ONGC, SBI, IndusInd Bank, Sun Pharma and ICICI Bank were among the laggards.
