Kichha, Uttarakhand: Kichha sugar mill has set a new record by achieving a recovery rate of 10.73 per cent during the current crushing season. It has produced 4,23,450 quintal sugar. The mill had set a target of crushing 55 lakh quintal sugarcane but managed to crush 39.74 lakh quintal cane despite some technical issues.
According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, for the first time mill has achieved this recovery rate after 62 years.
Ruchi Mohan, the executive director, said that the sugar mill has produced quality sugar this season. The mill is considering an increase in the crushing capacity for the upcoming season.
