Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh: The rise in fuel prices is putting a huge burden on the farming community. It has not only affecting them financially but also increasing their hardships due to various rises.
With an increase in fuel prices, farmers claim the crop production cost is also surging, whereas there is no hike in the prices of farm products.
Farmers would carry out cultivation of major crops in the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh are sugarcane, chilli, paddy, Bengal gram, cotton, maize, groundnut, vegetables, horticulture and others.
According to the news report published in deccanchronicle.com, leaders of the AP Rythu Sangham and other farmer organisations have requested the government to take steps to reduce diesel price and assist farmers by providing them with a good market price for their yields.
