Brazilian government allocates additional US sugar quota among producers

The Brazilian government has allocated an additional quota of 12, 640 metric tonnes of sugar among sugar producers. According to the news report published in Novacana, the quota has been approved by the United States to Brazilian exporters for the 2020/21 season (October-September).

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply looks after the sugar supply and export issue.

Initially, the US approved the preferential quota of 144,410 tonnes of sugar to Brazilian exporters and later additional 12,640 tonnes were approved.
