Export volumes of sugar by Azerbaijan has almost doubled in 2021 compared with the same period last year. The exports increased in the first half of 2021.
According to the news report published in Azernews.az, Azerbaijan had exported 18,800 tonnes of powdered sugar worth US$ 7.7 million in January-June 2020. This year, in the reported period, the country has exported 36,900 tonnes of powdered sugar worth US$ 20 million, which is increased by 18,100 tonnes.
As per the ‘National Export Strategy’, the country plans to double its non-oil exports by 2025 compared to 2020.
