Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended at record closing highs on Tuesday, with the Nifty50 index settling above 16,100. Sensex closed on 3rd August at 872.73 points higher at 53,823.36. Nifty ended 241.05 points higher at 16,126.20.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 2nd August at 363.79 points higher at 52,950.63. Nifty ended 124.70 points higher at 15,887.75.
RIL, Asian Paints, Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), Titan Company, TCS, Tech Mahindra, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv were among the top Sensex gainers. While Bajaj-Auto, Tata Steel, HCL Tech, NTPC, ICICI Bank were top index losers.
