Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended at record closing highs on Wednesday. Sensex closed on 4th August at 546.41 points higher at 54,369.77. Nifty ended 128.05 points higher at 16,258.80.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 3rd August at 872.73 points higher at 53,823.36. Nifty ended 241.05 points higher at 16,126.20.
HDFC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and SBI were the top Nifty gainers. Grasim, Titan Company, Tata Motors, Hindalco and Adani Ports were among the top losers.
