Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on 23th August at 226.47 points higher at 55,555.79. Nifty ended 45.95 points higher at 16,496.45.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 20th August at 300.17 points lower at 55,329.32. Nifty ended 118.35 points lower at 16,450.50.
HCL Technologies, Nestle, TCS, Bajaj Finserv and Bharti Airtel were the top Nifty gainers. Grasim Industries, Adani Ports, M&M, Eicher Motors and Bajaj Auto were among the top losers.
