Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on 31th August at 662.63 points higher at 57,552.39. Nifty ended 201.15 points higher at 17,132.20.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 30th August at 765.04 points higher at 56,889.76. Nifty ended 233.10 points higher at 16,938.30.
Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finance, Eicher Motors, Hindalco Industries and Shree Cements were the top Nifty gainers. Tata Motors, Nestle, IndusInd Bank, Reliance Industries and BPCL were among the top losers.
