Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on 2nd September at 514.33 points higher at 57,852.54. Nifty ended 157.90 points higher at 17,234.15.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 1st September at 214.18 points lower at 57,338.21. Nifty ended 55.95 points lower at 17,076.25.
Among sectors, a strong rally was seen in IT, FMCG, pharma, realty and metal indices, while Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Auto indices ended in the red.
