Domestic Market:
The market witnessed good demand in Uttar Pradesh whereas other regions witnessed moderate demand.
State wise Prices as on 14th September 2021 :
◾ Maharashtra: S/30 Sugar rates from millers are ₹3370 to ₹3470/Qntl. whereas M/30 is at ₹3520 to 3600/Qntl.
◾ Karnataka : S/30 Sugar rates were ₹3400 to 3475/Qntl. whereas M/30 is at ₹3475 to 3535/Qntl.
◾ Uttar Pradesh: The rate for M/30 is ₹3600 to 3675/Qntl.
◾ Gujarat : S/30 Sugar rates were ₹3400 to 3461/Qntl. whereas M/30 is at ₹3561 to 3581/Qntl.
◾ Tamil Nadu: S/30 Sugar rates were at ₹3500 to 3650/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates were at ₹3600 to 3700/Quintal.
(All the above rates are excluding GST.
International Market:
Yesterday’s Closing:
On Monday sugar prices closed up with strength in crude prices and concerns over the Brazilian crop. London White Sugar closed at $484.70/ton up $20.20 whereas New York Sugar closed up 0.19 points at 19.49 cents per pound.
Market Today :
The London White Sugar front month contract is trading at $483.40/tn whereas the New York Sugar is trading at 18.89/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices: The rupee traded against the US dollar at 73.655 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.2211 Crude futures traded at Rs.5210, Crude WTI traded at $70.70 a barrel. Sensex closed 69.33 points up at 58,247.09 whereas Nifty ended 24.70 points up at 17,380.
