Kolhapur: Amid crisis prevailing in the sugar industry, the government has appointed Mr. Makrand Phadke as new Chief Director (Sugar). He belongs to India Cost Accounts Service.
Mr. Phadke has replaced Mr. G.S Sahu, who joined the department in July 2014. As per information available with Chinimandi.com, Mr. Sahu left his office on 11 January.
An official within the department while talking to our reporter confirmed that Mr. Phadke has joined as new Chief Director (Sugar).
Mr. K.M.S Khalsa, Deputy Secretary (BP), is given additional charge as Deputy Secretary (sugar policy).
