Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on 08th October at 381.23 points higher at 60,059.06. Nifty ended 104.85 points higher at 17,895.20.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 07th October at 488.10 points higher at 59,677.83. Nifty ended 144.35 points higher at 17,790.35.
Among sectors, IT index up nearly 2 per cent, and buying is also seen ion the auto, metal, energy names, while realty index down 3 per cent.
