Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 21 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices opened in the green on Thursday with Sensex up by 60.19 points and Nifty up by 24.50 points.
At 9:30 am, the 30-scrip BSE Sensex was up by 60.19 points or 0.10 per cent at 61320.15. Similarly, 50-scrip NSE Nifty was trading at 18291.10, at 9:30 am, up by 24.50 points or 0.13 per cent.
At 10:37 am, the 30-share index was trading 219.97 points lower at 61,039.99 in initial deals. Similarly, the Nifty fall 57.55 points to 18,209.05.
Sun Pharma was the top gainer in the Sensex pack, rising around 2 per cent, followed by PowerGrid, NTPC, HDFC, Kotak Bank and M&M.
On the other hand, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, TCS and Bharti Airtel were among the laggards.
