Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on October 26 at 383.21 points higher at 61,350.26. Nifty ended 143.00 points higher at 18,268.40.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on October 25 at 145.43 points higher at 60,967.05. Nifty ended 10.50 points higher at 18,125.40.
Tata Motors, Tata Steel, SBI Life Insurance, Titan Company and JSW Steel were among the major Nifty gainers. Losers included IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank, Power Grid Corp, HUL and NTPC.
