Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on November 23 at 198.44 points higher at 58,664.33. Nifty ended 86.80 points higher at 17,503.35.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on November 22 at 1,170.12 points lower at 58,465.89. Nifty ended 348.25 points lower at 17,416.55.
JSW Steel, Coal India, Power Grid Corp, NTPC and Tata Steel were among major gainers on the Nifty. Losers included IndusInd Bank, Asian Paints, Infosys, Bajaj Auto and Wipro.
