Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on December 2 at 776.50 points higher at 58,461.29. Nifty ended 234.75 points higher at 17,401.65.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on December 1 at 619.92 points higher at 57,684.79. Nifty ended 183.70 points higher at 17,166.90.
Adani Ports, HDFC, Power Grid Corp, Tata Steel and Sun Pharma were among the major Nifty gainers. The losers included ICICI Bank, Cipla and Axis Bank.
