Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on December 9 at 157.45 points higher at 58,807.13. Nifty ended 47.10 points higher at 17,516.85.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on December 8 at 1,016.03 points higher at 58,649.68. Nifty ended 293.05 points higher at 17,469.75.
ITC, L&T, Asian Paints, UPL and Reliance Industries were among the top Nifty gainers. Losers included HDFC Bank, Titan Company, Nestle India, NTPC and Power Grid Corporation.
