Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on January 12 at 533.15 points higher at 61,150.04. Nifty ended 156.60 points higher at 18,212.35.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on January 11 at 221.26 points higher at 60,616.89. Nifty ended 52.45 points higher at 18,055.75.
M&M, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, IndusInd Bank and ONGC were the top Nifty gainers. Losers were Titan Company, TCS, Shree Cements, Britannia Industries and Cipla.
