Latur: Two new sugarcane crushing units will be set up in Latur district, said Ramesh Karad, BJP district unit head.
Addressing the BJP workers and sugarcane farmers on Monday in Latur, he said that the units will be having a capacity of crushing 2,000 tonnes per day. The units will be set up in Latur and in Renapur Tehsil, he said.
“We have taken steps to set up sugarcane crushing units in Latur as most of the sugar mills have been owned by the politicians. Therefore, to give justice to sugarcane cultivators and stop their exploitation, we have decided to set up units,” he further added.
