Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed on January 24 at 1,545.67 points lower at 57,491.51. Nifty ended 468.05 points lower at 17,149.10.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on January 21 at 427.44 points lower at 59,037.18. Nifty ended 139.85 points lower at 17,617.15.
JSW Steel, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, Grasim Industries and Hindalco Industries were the top Nifty losers, while gainers included Cipla and ONGC.
