Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed, on February 9, 657.39 points higher at 58,465.97. Nifty ended 197.05 points higher at 17,463.80.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on February 8, 187.39 points higher at 57,808.58. Nifty ended 53.15 points higher at 17,266.75.
Coal India, Maruti Suzuki, Hindalco, IndusInd Bank and Bajaj Auto were the top Nifty gainers, while losers were ONGC, Sun Pharma, BPCL, ITC and SBI Life Insurance.
