The Department of Food & Public Distribution announced a 21.5 LMT monthly sugar quota for domestic sale in March 2022.

According to marketmen the demand has been moderate. Markets in parts of Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra seemed quiet due to Maha Shivratri.
