Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed, on March 17, 1,047.28 points higher at 57,863.93. Nifty ended 311.70 points higher at 17,287.05.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on March 16, 1,039.80 points higher at 56,816.65. Nifty ended 312.35 points higher at 16,975.35.
UltraTech Cement, Axis Bank, Shree Cements, IndusInd Bank and Bajaj Auto were among the top Nifty gainers, while losers were Cipla, Sun Pharma, Tata Consumer Products and Power Grid Corporation.
